Arrow-Fix repairs broken wood arrows nearly anywhere along the arrow shaft with minimal time and material. This is an adjustable tool that comes with standard shaft diameter of 11/32", (centering sockets of 5/16" and 23/64" are available separately). It uses a V-block support method so the repair is precise and simple to do. The main body is sturdy aluminum alloy and the special geometric conical drill bit is milled from HHS performance tool steel. (A high quality German tool steel). This ensures that hardwoods such as locust, bamboo and osage can be easily repaired. The conical repaired area is very minimal in depth and the visible repaired joint is around 1/25th of an inch, so the needed quantity of wood and glue is minimal. The Arrow-Fix method only slightly changes the spine of the shaft and extensive testing has shown no negative reactions to the shafts precision or durability even after several repairs. It is not possible for shear force to damage an Arrow-Fix repaired shaft because of the conical joint principle where no shear force can occur.
The Arrow-Fix taper tool is made from the same alloy as the repair tool and can be adjusted for 5/6", 11/32" and 23/64" diameters.
Centering sockets of 5/16" and 23/64" and extra blades are available separately.
Tools included:
A taper tool for nocks
A taper tool for 5 degree field points
A conical drill for 5 degree tapered bores
A V-block for the set up and repair of the glued section
